Rajkot, Gujarat – September 2025
It started with a curious 9-year-old in Rajkot, sitting in front of a home computer and wondering not just how websites worked — but how they could be broken, and more importantly, protected.
While most kids his age were immersed in video games, Jainil Jotani was exploring firewalls, encryption, and the hidden world of cybersecurity. That spark of curiosity soon turned into a passion, setting him on a journey that would make global headlines.
At just 13 years old, Jainil has officially become the world’s youngest EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) — a prestigious credential recognized worldwide. This extraordinary achievement not only sets a new record but also proves how far dedication, discipline, and the right mentorship can take young minds.
From Curiosity to Certification
Jainil’s journey began at age 9, when his interest in technology inspired him to learn beyond textbooks. Recognizing his potential, his family enrolled him in the Cyber Protectors Institute of Cyber Security in Rajkot, Gujarat — a leading training hub for aspiring ethical hackers. Under the mentorship of Dr. Naresh Makavana, founder of Cyber Protectors and an official EC-Council Certified Instructor, Jainil mastered everything from basic networking to advanced penetration testing, digital forensics, and cybercrime investigation.
Passion Turned into Purpose
Jainil’s learning extended far beyond the classroom. He participated in ethical hacking bootcamps, live penetration testing exercises, and capture-the-flag (CTF) competitions to sharpen his skills. He also studied real-world cybercrime cases to understand how attacks happen — and how to stop them. In August 2025, after years of dedication, he successfully cleared the EC-Council CEH certification — an exam usually attempted by experienced professionals much older than him.
A Message for Young Learners
“If you have curiosity, discipline, and the right guidance, age is never a barrier,” says Jainil. His mission now is to protect organizations, spread cyber awareness, and inspire more young people to enter the field ethically.
