Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Interacts with Delegation from Himalayan University and Higher Education Department

Itanagar, November 8, 2025: The Honourable Governor of Arunachal Pradesh held a significant meeting with a delegation from Himalayan University and the Department of Higher Education (RUSA) on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar, at 12:00 PM.

The delegation comprised Prof. (Dr.) Prakash Divakaran, Vice-Chancellor, Himalayan University; Mr. Minto Ete, Deputy Director of Higher Education (RUSA), Government of Arunachal Pradesh; Mr. Vijay Tripathi, Registrar, Himalayan University; and Mr. Kido Bagra, Deputy Registrar, Himalayan University.

During the meeting, the Honourable Governor appreciated the University’s contributions to the higher education landscape of Arunachal Pradesh and emphasized the importance of improving the quality of education in both government and private institutions. His Excellency also underlined the need for youth empowerment through skill development, leadership training, and innovative educational programs aligned with national development goals.

The Governor further discussed the potential of Arunachal Pradesh in the agricultural and industrial sectors, particularly emphasizing the opportunities for vegetable exports and the development of agro-based industries. He encouraged collaboration between universities, government departments, and the private sector to promote research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the state.

Prof. (Dr.) Prakash Divakaran expressed gratitude to the Honourable Governor for his valuable guidance and encouragement, reaffirming Himalayan University’s commitment to contribute meaningfully to the state’s educational and socio-economic progress.
