9 December: A landmark moment in Tamil cultural history has been achieved as the Largest Multi-Venue Thirukkural Recitation officially entered the High Range World Records and Spotlight World Records. In an extraordinary display of unity and devotion, 1,330 participants across ten U.S. cities joined together to recite all 1,330 couplets of the Thirukkural — the timeless masterpiece composed by Sage Thiruvalluvar, revered for its universal wisdom.
This monumental effort was envisioned, organized, and supervised by Semmozhi Mala Gopal, Founder & President of the Kural Koodal Semmozhi Foundation, USA. Spanning from April 6, 2025, to October 4, 2025, the initiative showcased the cultural dedication, linguistic pride, and intergenerational participation of the global Tamil diaspora, all while promoting social awareness through the profound teachings of the Thirukkural.

To commemorate this record-setting accomplishment, all founders and participants were felicitated by The Honorable Kevin Cole, Mayor of Pearland, and The Honorable D.C.
