Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Monday inspected the Shri Krishna Maa Jaalpa Bhawani Cow Shelter Committee located in Noida Sector-14. He was accompanied by MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma, District Magistrate Medha Roopam, Metropolitan President Mahesh Chauhan, and BJP Rajasthan Pravasi Cell State Convener Shree Kumar Lakhotia, who was present as a special guest.
During the inspection, the Deputy CM closely reviewed the arrangements of the shelter, which currently houses around 730 cows. He examined the facilities related to their care, food supply, water management, and cleanliness. On the spot, he also directed the District Magistrate to immediately implement certain improvements.
On this occasion, BJP Rajasthan Pravasi Cell State Convener Shree Kumar Lakhotia stated:
“BJP’s ideology is not limited to development alone, but also embraces cow service and cultural preservation as an integral part of our commitment. The care of cows and traditions like Chhappan Bhog represent the soul of our civilization, and promoting them is true service.”
He further added that it is important to convey this message of Indian culture to the overseas community so that India’s traditions and values gain greater respect worldwide.
Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, while reviewing central and state government schemes, remarked that there is always scope for improvement. He assured that the government will make every effort to ensure cow service at every level is carried out more effectively. He also suggested that cow dung should be better utilized for producing fertilizer and biogas in a systematic manner, so that the shelter can move towards becoming self-sustainable.
Features of the Cow Shelter
The Shri Krishna Maa Jaalpa Bhawani Cow Shelter Committee in Noida Sector-14 was established in June 2022, with its foundation stone laid by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Spread across approximately 7 acres, the shelter has a total capacity of housing 1,000 cattle. Currently, 17 separate pathways have been constructed to facilitate the smooth movement and management of cows.
A modern biogas plant with a daily capacity of 1,700 kilograms has also been installed in the shelter. The cow dung produced here is used to generate organic manure, promoting natural farming. In addition, pure dairy products such as milk, ghee, paneer, and butter are also made available to society from this center.
The presence of Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and Shree Kumar Lakhotia during the inspection not only served as encouragement for the shelter management but also reinforced the message that BJP’s vision is not confined to development alone. Cow service, cultural preservation, and self-reliance are also given equal priority.
